Rate of pay (salary): $51,000- $62,000 (based on KSA's & experience)
Start date: Monday 4th Feb 2019
12 Months Fixed-term (review period after 12 months)
This position has become available due to a 12 month sabbatical
Applicants will need to have a degree majoring in Human Resources. We would prefer a minimum of two years work experience in an HR advisory role.
The successful candidate will preferably have knowledge and skill in the following areas:
* Statute law: Health and Safety at Work Act, Employment Relations Act, Privacy Act, Human Rights Act etc., plus knowledge of current amendment bills / proposed changes to employment law
* Recruitment and Selection: Job Analyses, competency modelling, job descriptions + person specifications, structured employment interviews, hiring temporary staff etc
* Onboarding: Employment agreements, induction packs, issuing PPE
* Other activities will include: Admin, filing, minute taking, facilitating apprenticeships through various ITO’s, issuing and informing staff of contents within the staff handbook and company policies, facilitating training workshops, and engaging with our 150 staff via site walks.
The HR department at Pukepine is still in early stages of development. The daily tasks of this position will vary, therefore the successful candidate will need to be open to change and be able to readily adapt.
This role is also a support role for our 150 staff, therefore the successful candidate must be able to actively listen to concerns / complaints, build rapport will a diverse range of people, provide direction and advice, and follow up on any action taken. Support and direction from the HR manager will be provided.
