ECE Centre Manager - Superstar Required!

Job Description

We are a mid sized family owned ECE located in beautiful Kumeu, West Auckland, seeking a Centre Manager to lead our team of fabulous and passionate teachers. Our two room setting is licensed for 55 children aged from 6 months to five years.

Our centre philosophy is fusion Montessori, combining the very best of Montessori with the modern learning practices, to create a teaching programme that is richly varied, nurturing boundless curiosity and empowering children to reach their potential. (Montessori experience is not essential for this role).

Our programme is child led, with teachers acting as guides, in a beautifully prepared environment. Te whariki is beautifully woven with Montessori to create a teaching and learning space that is second to none. We believe that each child is unique and must be treated as such, in an environment that is safe, enjoyable and stimulating, enabling each child to learn and explore according to their individual needs, at their own pace. We value relationships and aroha above all else. Learn more about us via our website or by finding us on Instagram or Facebook.

Our four year ERO review confirms that you will step into a centre with not only great teaching practice, but high quality systems and programmes. You will be responsible for continuing to deliver the same exceptional learning opportunities and the smooth running of our centre.

You will have proven leadership skills, be passionate, innovative and creative. You will play a key role in supporting, leading and inspiring the team, displaying strong leadership and supporting and encouraging other team members to rise into their own potential.

This role is ideally fulltime, but some concessions to flexible hours can be made. We envisage the position including approximately 50% of time spent on the floor where you can establish meaningful relationships with tamariki, parents, whanau and to work alongside your team……and after all, you went into teaching to spend time with little people, not all day in an office! The remainder of time is spent in non-contact, managing day to day operations and continuing to bring innovation and inspiration to our setting.

We offer a competitive remuneration package, ongoing professional development opportunities and the full support of our experienced and engaged private centre owners.
