Here at NZ King Salmon, we're the world's largest producer of King salmon. You've probably heard of (or even better, tasted) Ora King, Regal, and Southern Ocean salmon - some of the finest across the globe. We pride ourselves on being a progressive and customer-oriented organisation, and we're dedicated to serving up a quality product through sustainable and eco-friendly means.
We now have an opportunity for a Harvest Team Member to join our experienced Marlborough based team. The team operate Sunday to Thursday out of the Queen Charlotte or Pelorus sounds, with their main focus being to harvest our salmon to a high standard, ensuring that quality is maximised throughout the whole process.
Reporting to the Harvest Supervisor, your day to day activities could have you working net systems and crowding fish, operating fish pumps/cranes/forklifts and other machinery, fish handling, dealing to net and machinery repairs, the setting up/dismantling or moving of harvest equipment, and data collection/reporting.
We are looking for a team player who is comfortable on the water, ideally with a marine based background. You will be self-motivated with a 'can do attitude', focused on achieving quality, a high level of communication skills and have basic computer skills. As a Harvest Team member, you will be in good level of physical fitness and wellbeing and be a champion in Health and Safety.
A current forklift licence and/or vessel mounted crane certification would be an advantage, however full training will be provided for the right applicant.
If this sounds like you and you believe you could be an asset to our Harvest Team, we would encourage you to apply and send your CV and cover letter to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Applications close on Sunday, 16 March 2019.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
