STIHL SHOP Te Rapa is a leading STIHL dealership in New Zealand, winning STIHL NZ Outstanding Retailer of the Year for 2017 and 2018. Come and join our team.

We ideally need a fully qualified small engine technician or fully qualified mechanic to join us in our new, purpose built premises, situated at 39 Te Kowhai Road East, just at the Northern end of the Base.

Hamilton is a fast growing and great central location to live. If it means you need to move locations to join us, we are happy to talk to you about assisting you with your moving costs.

Our retail showroom, and fully equipped, modern service workshop (staffed with fully qualified STIHL trained technicians) operates 7 days a week, to meet our customers' expectations.

STIHL NZ provide us with ongoing technical support and offer 4 levels of technical training. We fully embrace training and pride ourselves on ensuring all our team are as knowledge and confident in the brands we sell and service, as possible.

If needed, we can offer the successful applicant an opportunity to undergo an immediate intense training opportunity to get you up to speed in all things STIHL.

STIHL also provide an amazing e-learning platform.

If you have excellent technical skills and can bring with you a great work ethic, a positive attitude, a genuine passion for all things technical, and the ability to deliver quality customer service, then we would love to hear from you.

Key personal attributes and skills required include:

Extensive knowledge of outdoor power equipment and aptitude for working with small engines.

Experience with the diagnosing and repairing of not only hand held power equipment items, but also of ride on lawn tractors would be advantageous.

Genuine desire to offer and deliver exceptional customer service to our valued clients.

Great interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others to achieve results.

Well organised, with good time management skills.

Honest, adaptable and demonstrates initiative.

A positive attitude.
