40 hours per week
9am-5pm (hours negotiable)
Reporting to: Human Resources Manager
Rate of pay (salary): $55,000- $66,000 (based on KSA's & experience)
Applicants will need to have a degree majoring in Human Resources or a related area. We would prefer a minimum of two years work experience in an HR and/ or Health and Safety advisory role.
The successful candidate will preferably have knowledge and skill in the following areas:
* Statute law: Health and Safety at Work Act, Employment Relations Act, Privacy Act, Human Rights Act etc., plus knowledge of current amendment bills / proposed changes to employment law to ensure full compliance through proactive management of all policies and procedures, as well as relevant legislation pertaining to HR and H&S.
* HR duties will involve training and development, recruitment & selection, and on-boarding. Other duties will involve engaging in risk analysis and proactively working to ensure all risks, hazards, near misses and incidents are reported in a timely and effective manner.
* Admin duties such as filing and minute taking etc are also required.
The HR department at Pukepine is still in early stages of development. The daily tasks of this position will vary, therefore the successful candidate will need to be open to change and be able to readily adapt.
This role is also a support role for our 150 staff, therefore the successful candidate must be able to actively listen to concerns / complaints, build rapport will a diverse range of people, provide direction and advice, and follow up on any action taken. Support and direction from the HR manager will be provided.
