• Based in Tokoroa

Protecting their environment and the health and safety of their people are key elements to their business success, so they are on the search for a dedicated and passionate Environment, Health and Safety Coordinator to join their hardworking team.

As the EH&S Coordinator you’ll be responsible for compliance to both NZ standards and corporate policies and guidelines. As an active member of the Waratah Leadership Team you will drive EH&S strategies and initiatives within the business.

Duties and responsibilities include:
• Administering all EH&S initiatives and programs, including Health & Wellbeing initiatives
• Ensuring compliance in all areas
• Conducting root cause analysis on EH&S incidents and oversee relevant corrective actions
• Coordinate the site EH&S committee
• Conduct relevant audits with management involvement
• Prepare regular reports on EH&S metrics and activity

Ideally, you’ll have relevant work experience in Environment or Health and Safety as well as thorough knowledge of legislation and regulatory requirements, occupational health and safety and ergonomics and the ability to apply theory to the workplace. You’ll be an adept communicator and have the ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflict with ease. Experience with manufacturing processes and factory operations is advantageous.
