This position complements the wellness partner working in the village, in liaison with the Wellness Leader. You will have a desire to partner with other staff, residents and their families, engaging in support for all personal requirements, social and emotional wellbeing.
Experience caring for the elderly is preferred but not essential. NZQA Health and wellbeing qualifications, level 2 or 3 an advantage. Diversional Therapy training also an advantage.
Personal attributes - organised and self-motivated with good community networks and a passion for encouraging physical fitness, wellness and social interaction. Able to work in a culturally safe manner to encourage residents to initiate and maintain activities of their choice, which complement their everyday life.
16 hrs per week, days and hours per day are flexible depending on planned events and resident requirements.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
